Casa degli Artisti stands in the heart of the upper village of Sant'Ilario dello Jonio, a house-museum where art meets memory. Among murals, painted tiles and rooms that tell the story of life in the past, this living space welcomes anyone who wants to create, remember and share beauty. The idea came from Renato Mollica, who wanted to transform his grandmother Carmela's house into a centre of art and culture open to all. A living museum, a meeting point for artists, students and travellers, where every corner tells a story and every work contributes to building a new one.The Terrace of the Artists, a bright and panoramic space where art overlooks the land. Events, exhibitions and meetings come to life here, but also moments of silence and contemplation: a place where inspiration breathes together with the wind and light of the country. The House of Fire, the symbolic heart of the entire project: an environment that evokes the warmth of the homes of yesteryear, the domestic hearth around which the family gathered, guardian of history, gestures and ancient flavours. A homage to roots, memory and the value of simplicity. The Window of Books is a special corner of Casa degli Artisti where reading becomes a shared gesture. Here, anyone can take a book and leave another one, giving rise to a free exchange of stories, knowledge and emotions. An invitation open to all: share stories, discover new worlds and contribute to collective cultural growth. A small gesture that enriches the community and promotes reading as a shared value.
